"We cannot remake the world through schooling, but we can instantiate a vision through pedagogy that creates in microcosm a transformed set of relationships and possibilities for social futures, a vision that is lived in schools."

About Me ...
I currently work mainly with preservice and practicing teachers from a variety of disciplines. I used to teach middle school and high school language arts. My work with the Minnesota Writing Project inspires me to think about how all of us learn, not just students in classroom settings, but youngsters and adults alike, in small groups working toward a similar goal be it writing or making movies. Feel free to browse my blog or visit my resource wiki, Nonikwe's Rabbit Hole. I've highlighted select pages and resources below.

White Teacher (2008) -- click on image to view 4 minute digital story
This is a video I made for a class Digital Storytelling in and with Communities of Color. The story examines my time teaching in Brooklyn, New York. Through layering of images, voice, and music, I try to explore and in some ways rewrite the memories as I've stored them in my mind. I welcome any feedback.
